Our Philosophy

Living a life filled with purpose and excitement, as well as feeling alive and healthy, is not an exception to the rule - it’s what we consider a normal life.

Our purpose is to help you create your own extraordinary life.  It's all about identifying what your body requires to be extraordinary  and then showing you the best strategies to meet those fundamental requirements. In other words, how to Eat, Move, Think and be Powered By Design.

We believe that CrossFit is the best strategy to fulfill the movement requirements (Move By Design) for ALL human beings.

At CrossFit 613, you will not find any machines – instead, you will find kettlebells, barbells, medicine balls, sleds, and tons of open space for running, jumping, climbing, lifting, and throwing.

We bring the best of high intensity metabolic conditioning, gymnastics and strength training methodologies into one system producing results that you can see and feel.

The workouts themselves are completely scalable and sustainable which means that a new participant and a CrossFit veteran can complete the same workout with simple changes in load and intensity.

It truly is elite fitness for everyone.

At CrossFit 613, we firmly believe that mechanics, consistency, and THEN intensity are the key to effective, and sustainable training.

From WODS, to lifting, to mobility, our trainers program everything for a reason in order to strategically develop each individual safely, and efficiently.

It is not only about the workout.  We are a community of individuals who share a passion for fitness, health, and living an extraordinary life.  At our facility there is no room for egos or bad attitudes.  We are inclusive, supportive, and humble - we are CrossFit 613.

What is Crossfit?

CrossFit is “the sport of fitness.”   With constantly varied, high-intensity functional movements, CrossFit is a training philosophy that coaches people of all shapes and sizes to improve their physical well-being and fitness in a hardcore yet accepting, encouraging and fun environment.

CrossFit is a training program that builds strength and conditioning through extremely varied and challenging workouts. Each day the workout will test a different part of your functional strength or conditioning with the goal of building a body that’s capable of practically anything and everything.

CrossFit is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for ANY committed individual regardless of experience.

What that means is that every day there is a particular workout prepared for everybody that comes to CrossFit. Rather than having one workout for older women and another for hardcore athletes – there’s ONE workout each day that is completely scalable based on your skill.

GREAT community aspect.  Unlike a commercial gym, you actually get to know the people at your gym. There’s always that feeling of team work and camaraderie.

Constant coaching and support.  In a commercial gym you have no clue if you’re doing an exercise right or not; at CrossFit 613 you’ll have a coach with you during every workout to help out.

Accountability.  If you don’t show up, not only do people notice, but they’ll ask you where you’ve been.

Levelling up.  Because you get to keep track of how much you’re lifting, and you know how many reps and sets you’re doing…you get to see constant improvement. You also get to advance at your own pace, slowly working your way up towards doing the workouts as recommended.

Humbling, yet encouraging.  Yeah, you might end your workout lying on your back, but you have a sense of accomplishment when you finish a workout faster than last time.

Competition.  It’s amazing how much further you’ll push yourself when surrounded by other people cheering you on and competing with them.

It introduces SO MANY people to weight lifting, especially women who would have never ever attempted to get off the treadmill and strength train.

It’s a good outlet for former athletes who like to compete. After playing competitive sports through high school and college, all of a sudden there’s nothing left to compete in…CrossFit gives people that outlet.

You get to find out what you’re made of. CrossFit can be tough, It can teach you how to push through mental barriers, build mental toughness and more.

It builds good muscular endurance and all around fitness – your body is prepared for pretty much anything life throws at you after a only few months of CrossFit.
